Hi, I’m Jennie Yang 👋🏼

I’m on a mission to help founder and executive moms of young children experience more presence, joy and balance
in their lives so that they thrive, their children thrive and their businesses thrive.

In my own experience, being and becoming a mom and executive is not for the faint of heart.

When I returned back to work from my first maternity leave in early 2021, I received a promotion and became an executive.

It was exhilarating to be challenged with additional responsibility and have an opportunity to make a broader impact.

Yet, it was stressful, exhausting and lonely, especially as a first time mom and executive.

Sleep deprivation + the demands of keeping baby fed + keeping up with the breakneck pace of work and the new role + pandemic anxiety led to mental and physical exhaustion.

I also had tough decisions to make. I chose not to attend an executive offsite and our company-wide offsite. For two reasons: 1) needing to be home with my baby and 2) for the health of my family during the pandemic. I thought to myself: is this a career limiting move? What water-cooler moments and connections will I miss out on?

Although I felt FOMO, it felt more important to me to stay home.

Fast forward to late 2024.

I created Chief Mama Officer out of a desire to connect with like-minded and like-hearted founder and executive moms of young children and those who are on their journey to becoming a mom.

Chief Mama Officer is a safe container for us to experience deeper connection, gain insight and receive encouragement.

It’s a space for us to feel seen, heard, valued and recognized.

It’s a space for healing and growth.

It’s the community I wish I had back in 2021.

We need each other for support as we balance what matters most across our own wellbeing, our families and our businesses.

It’s an honor and privilege to be the founding steward of this community in service to our thriving.
